Rebeca Perez-Gonzalez, MSW, LCSWA, specializes in trauma-focused therapy for children and adolescents. With experience supporting young clients and their caregivers through trauma, Ms. Perez-Gonzalez brings both compassion and clinical expertise to her work. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and ChildFirst® Forensic Interview Protocol. She has extensive experience working in Child Advocacy Centers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support the well-being of children and their families.
Ms. Perez-Gonzalez previously served as a Family Advocate at the Moore County Children’s Advocacy Center and completed clinical internships, providing diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, treatment planning, and crisis intervention for children ages 3–18. As a native-level Spanish speaker, she brings a strong commitment to culturally responsive support for children and families.
She holds a Master of Social Work from UNC–Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Appalachian State University, along with associate degrees and a Spanish Interpreter Certificate from Beaufort County Community College.
Outside of work, Ms. Perez-Gonzalez enjoys reading, spending time with her partner, and caring for their three cats. She values quiet moments, cozy spaces, and the joy of connecting with her loved ones. Ms. Perez-Gonzalez brings these same qualities into the therapeutic environment by fostering a calm and welcoming space that encourages reflection, creativity, and authentic connection to support children and families with warmth and care.
